Chatswood Federation Renovation

An Award-Winning Federation Renovation

Vanda Constructions completed this federation home renovation Chatswood project on Sydney’s North Shore. The renovation reworked an existing Federation home to better suit the needs of modern family life. Importantly, we retained the character of the original build throughout. This project went on to win a Willoughby Council Heritage Award, recognising the quality of the finished result.

Reworking a Home for Modern Family Life

A Federation home comes with genuine character worth preserving. As a result, we approached this renovation carefully. We needed to update the home’s function for a modern family. At the same time, we wanted to protect the original features that gave the home its charm. In particular, we focused on how each space could work harder for the family living in it, without losing what made the home special in the first place.

A Standard That Earns Recognition

This federation home renovation Chatswood project reflects the standard we bring to every heritage renovation we take on. Specifically, that means careful attention to original details, alongside genuine improvements to how a home functions day to day. In short, it’s this balance between old and new that led to this project being recognised with an industry award.
